Description:
COAST RUNNER berthed at Galway on the west coast of Ireland on August 10th,1990. She was built in 1964 by the Drypool Engineering and Drydock Co.Ltd as Springfinch for Springwell Shipping. In 1968 she was chartered by Lapthorn as the Hoofinch. In 1984 she was sold to Medway Coasters and in 1990 to P.Beatty of Galway.She damaged the quay at Galway in bad weather and was towed to Sruthan Quay in Dec 93 where she was broken by P.O'Brien of Carraror,Cty Galway.Thanks to Richie for info.

1978 acquired by lapthorn shipping
1984 sold to medway coasters
1988 renamed coast runner
1990 sold to p.beatty galway
13.3.1991 a fire onboard the ship damaged beyond economical repair
20.12.1993 towed out of dock to kinvara quay after damaging quay wall in bad weather towed to sruthan quay in cashla bay for breaking by p.o'brien,carraror, county galway
