This Norwegian, Glasgow-built (1948) steel sealer was a very modern ship, length 151 feet, original Atlas Polar diesel 900 HP. 1966 New engine; Deutz 2000 HP. Participated in sealing in the New Foundland ice the years 1949 - 1982. Later; expeditions and ship for the Governor of Svalbard. I myself did see this ship at Longyearbyen on Svalbard 1985. Now it is worked for preserving Polarstar as museum-ship in Norway.
