Wasn't Oregon a subsidiary of Continental and the house-flag and funnel similar to that of United/Continental but with an 'O' rather than 'C'?

The London firm of Oregon Steamship had acted as managing agents for United.

She has two sisters in the United Steamship Corporation fleet, the Continental Carrier and Continental Trader, (United SS was a subsidiary of Continental Grain, hence the names)both of which were bought by Burnside shipping Company, a joint venture between Continental Grain and Hindustan Shipping Co., ie Common Brothers, and renamed Otterburn and Woodburn respectively. Continental Carrier was also to have been acquired and renamed Simonburn but this did not go ahead. The rumour in Common's was that she had gone aground and shifted the engine bed but, given her eventual fate, this story may have been premature.
