Description:
Eriksberg M.V. in Sweden delivered in 1978 the 409.400 dwt ULCC NAI Genova to Italian owners. Together with her sistership NAI Superba she shares the position of being the second biggest ship ever built in Sweden (the biggest was the Nanny, 499.000 dwt, built by Uddevallavarvet in 1978). Here NAI Genova is seen laid up in Holmestrand, Norway,in July 1985. She was later that year taken over by the Swedish state owned company Zenit. She was scrapped in 2000, sold by Fredriksen as the Sea Sovereign. The passenger ship on her port side was built as the Stockholm in 1948 and she still exists in a rebuilt fashion as the Azores. The conditons for making photos were bad so it was not possible to get a full wiew of the NAI Genova.
