Australian - Adelaide Cement Co Ltd Port Adelaide

Built at Evans Deakin, Brisbane, in 1966

I Joined the Accolade one when she arrived from Brisbane in 1966 and was to join her a total
of 4 times during her operational days.

She had twin Caterpillar engines and in the early days before they quietened it down with
lagging and mufflers (I was on deck lol ) it was so noisy underway we always had the TV full
blast.

Lucky we were only at sea 5 hours a time lol

I did a trip to the dry dock in Melbourne on her and it was so noisy 2 days at sea we were all
extremely glad to get ashore either end lol
