I served on the Roan in 1969-70. Skipper was John Woolsey from Greenwich. We carried furniture timber, potato starch, sulphite pulp and grain.

She was never owned by NE Murray, she went from L&R TC to A. Rutland Ltd (my Grandfather) When he died my dad took the fleet over and ran it for some years, he eventually sold her to A. Pratt on the Medway. He in turn Sold her to Cool Cat Shipping (Jamaica).
