Hello Capt Fred, We sailed together on the Freedom, (out of Leith). Must admit to feeling very sad about her demise. She came over to Warri in Nigeria where I was Port Engineer. As I said on another pic, she worked very hard in the North Sea but we all kept her in lovely shape. She was the first Acadian boat in the North Sea followed by the Victory which sailed out of Den Helder in Holland. Joe

Capt Fred...sorry to report, the Acadian Freedom has been almost completely stripped down for scrap. They completed much of the blowtorch work in February (2012).

I was captain of the Acadian Freedom for two years during the 1970s. The ship supplied a barge working in the kofist field for most om my stay. any body out recall Lieth and the 70s?
