The HSV is an acronym for "High Speed Vessel".
HSV 2 SWIFT was privately owned and operated by the American shipping company Sealift Inc. She was chartered to the United States Navy Military Sealift Command and was primarily used for fleet support and humanitarian partnership missions.
In July 2013, HSV 2 SWIFT returned to her builder Incat in Hobart for a refit and is now available for sale.
