I think the Zamacona yard was known as Astilleros Luzuriaga SA in 1975. She was Yd No 186.

According to press reports of court hearings the vessel had been sold to Atlantioui Pesca, Lomé, Togo. So the Lomé fishery number 201-L may have been official

The smaller fishing vessel, nearest the camera, is the "White Sands", built in 1975 by unknown builder in Pasajes, Spain. 262 g.t. Vessel was detained in 2004, while being used as a drug runner between Central America and NW Spain.
Detained in a joint operation between the Spanish Armada (Navy), the Spanish Aduana (Customs service) and other authorities. The USA would have most likely provided intelligence on it's passage across the Atlantic, and the vessel was detained near the Azores carrying a cargo of four tons of cocaine, valued at €240 million. The vessel was UK registered at the time (and was formerly the Brixham trawler of the same name, registration number BM 296) although, it seems to have remained Spanish owned and operated during that time. Nine crew members were detained at the time of arrest, four Spanish including the captain (from Galicia) & 5 Africans.
Vessel subsequently sold by Judicial order and broken up in situ, at Las Palmas.
Report HERE.
I have a few photos and the name of the old pilot boat recorded somewhere, but cannot locate them at the moment.
Regards, Rick

Hi Phil. Thanks for your kind comment. No way in other resolution to much sun and incid.angle in this case. I try to read it in several ways. Better quality do not mean the best-superb quality. Simple better.
Any aditional info welcome.
MBregards from La Palma.

The nearest one has a Lomé registration number, so Togo flag. But I have not found 201-L listed or similar-looking name

The name of the black-hulled vessel would be readable if we had a better quality, higher-resolution photo at original size.

The blue vessel looks like a former Dutch or Belgium pilotvessel.
