The octagonal chimney at the top left often intrudes in pics of ships at the terminal. "it being the only electric lightstation completed (without machinery) which never produced any power or ever had any smoke in the chimney. The chimney is a fine and prominent landmark of the east Rocks.

Nice one Clyde, I can confirm that Chimneys are one of my problems on the Thames, they are all over the place but as with you they can be avoided.

Thank you Tony. The chimney can complicate the composition of passenger terminal shots by appearing to protrude from the ship. Usually I try and leave it out of the frame, but this time it was useful for left right balance.
