Description:

E-YUNG, a C3-S-A1 type ordered from Ingalls at Pascagoula as MORMACGULF, launched as U.S.S. BRETON and delivered as merchant aircraft carrier H.M.S. CHASER, was photographed by William Schell at Hong Kong on 10th April 1970

scanned from a negative in my collection

She became United Netherlands' AAGTEKERK in 1946 and C.Y.Tung's E- YUNG in 1967

E-YUNG suffered a fire at Kaohsiung on 3.12.72 and breaking commenced on 28.7.73

A fine photograph of a very regal looking lady. I'm always impressed by the transformations performed on these Bogue Class cariers in reverting them to merchant vessels.
