@daniel: yes, but consider that this one is quite special, taken almost from sea level. In fact, I think the three pictures are valuable for this vessel.

But then, it is much more fun when one can see the superstructure of the vessel along with the bow. The two next photos of this tanker by this same photographer are much nicer...

Interesting shot. Great angle. I would tend to agree with Captain Ted's comment, however, I think what is saving this photo from the "bone-yard" is that it might be considered as (barely) complying with site standards. If I understand the rule correctly it reads "Bow & stern shots may be acceptable if they show the vessel from the waterline to the top of the superstructure". With all due respect to the photographer, while subject photo does show "top of the superstructure", it might be stretching the rule just a bit, deviating from it's original intent...?

Also when it is a real great shot and perspective, shouldn,t it be that the bridge is also visible as per rules ?
