I was taking only slides in those days but I could make low quality scans for you of some of them. I have a flat scanner with a slide adapter which doesn't produce high standard stuff.

The shot was actually taken from Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island which is now part of the National Parks System and open to the public most of the time. But yes, it is essentially the same view as Van Driessen (I am not sure of the spelling either.. :-D ). [Both parks at right at the end of Bay Street for anyone wanting to take a trip there.] Mark, I would love to see some of those shots from the 70s..

Was it taken from Van Driessen Park (spelling?)on Staten Island?
I photographed ships from that location in the 70s and 80s.
