Description:

Berthed at Miramar Wharf, Wellington, 2 January 2005. The former MANUIA was being used as a prop for the 2005 released film, King Kong. Venture II made at least one trip to sea in this guise. It was later dismantled and the hulk was sunk in Cook Strait in 2010.

I suppose the cost would have been too high, but it is a shame as if a dry dock berth could have found I think it could have been a major attraction for Wellington harbour.
