I first spotted this vessel in 1984, at first could not work her out on the Horizon coming into the new waterway, Holland but was well pleased to see her and get a photo !

Actually the ship is a hot air balloon carrier, so the photo should be in the "Light lift ships" category.

The last (I think) remaining of these "space ships" is in my hometown as a museum since 2000 but still is in service:

(btw, has a little planetarium at the stern. There's also (unused?) one standing on the dock near the ship.)
