Totally agree, can't fault anything this line does. I also love the Musica and Fantasia class.

Hi Soren, in my humble opinion MSC is one of the best cruising companies, their ships regarding cabins ,comfort, cuisine are second to none. The outside looks and design is another matter, but not all cruising passengers are ship enthusiasts as the members of this site, to most of them a ship is just a floating hotel, they look only for comfort and cuisine.!

Well, is now the right time for me to say, that I by far prefer their Fantasia-class ships? :-)

I also like their Musica-class better than these! I've been travelling with both MSC POESIA and MSC SPLENDIDA, and this summer I will be back on board MSC POESIA in the Norwegian Fjords. In my opinion they are both really great ships to look at, especially MSC SPLENDIDA, but I do tend to have an "unnormal" opinion regarding the looks of the new generation of cruise ships in relation to most of You in here :-P

Well my friends, different persons, different choices, different tastes. If everyone had the same tastes and choices life would be boring.

Yes, the Opera and Lirica are my favourite ones.

Personally I feel that Opera and Lirica look better than Armonia and Sinfonia. Yes they are of the same class but there are subtle differences, especially on the bow and stern and the Opera and Lirica's funnels are more elegant. The Armonia, Sinfonia and the similar Costa neoRiviera all have that ugly ball court behind their funnels.

Personally, I think this ship presents an unrelentingly boring profile. There is not a single aspect of her design that I find attractive. I doubt that I'd even bother to photograph her were I to encounter her in a port somewhere. Still, as we've said before, it would no do for us to all like the same things.

Agree, these aren't bad looking ships. MSC bought two ships on the stocks when Festival cruises went bankrupt. They were sisters of the EUROPEAN VISION and EUROPEAN STARS (now also in the MSC fleet). MSC managed to restyle the exterior a bit before the ships were completed.

But Mr.DOT, the LIRICA isn't that unlovely, she is not the VISTAFJORD but compared to the EPIC she is still much better.

Edit

person
Yes, even the unlovely can look grand in this setting! mrdot.

Lovely, love the Lirica class, sailed on Opera last year and internally they are beautiful ships.
