The NRP SAGRES moored at the Alcântara passenger terminal in Lisbon and available for visits by the public during the 1st Cruise Day Lisbon event hosted by APL, the Lisbon port Authority.

This is a traditional rig sailing ship. "SAGRES" has been the school ship of the Portuguese Navy for more than 50 years. Built in Germany in 1937, she was purchased from Brazil in 1962 to replace an earlier schooner, meantime dismantled. "SAGRES" is an operational military ship for all purposes (NRP).
