I wasn't talking about ship spotters though, just members of the general public who take an interest. Surprising how many of them do, and if you give them a little background info they are even more into it. People in general do really enjoy watching the ships pass by :-) Will probably be over to the sunny South side tomorrow actually. Dropping off my ladies at Bluewater for a spot of shopping.
Best Regards

I know what you mean John, I had my usual chit chat on the South side as well, all good fun, you must come over and join in sometime.
Kind regards

Thanks Ken, I particularly wanted to see this one... a 'quality' ship. But being on the dreaded North side, light was difficult and tugs were in the way. But yes, I do love the Landing Stage, it's like an offshore republic where people abandon their usual social norms and actually get talking to each other! There's never a visit there where I don't come home feeling better for having engaged in conversation with some really nice people.
Best Regards
John J.
