@ Jens, my guess is that there probably will come a few more over time.

@ Steve, it's hard times for such ships Unfortunately, many times, these ships are the very fine but can not attract work so they can be kept running.

I am glad that you all like the pictures,
Thanks for the nice comments.
Best Regards
Bendt

Many thanks again Bendt for sharing the last views of yet another seemingly well-maintained small ship, such as Grenaa attracts.
For me, seeing such well-maintained engine rooms is a real treat, albeit a sad one, knowing the end is in sight......
Kind regards: S.

Bendt, I'd only wish that your excellent photos wouldn't be the last of her. Back in 2010 was the only time I've had her in front of my camera... on a grey winter's day as you have seen.

@Shaun: Well done, as an old Sietas fan I must say that missing these photos would have been completely inexcusable! ;-)

Agree Denis there is style above these older vessels from Sietas.

The bridge/funnel/mast combination on these ships is just so distinctive & timeless... Once I saw such freighter - ALGA - for the first time in 2006 in my hometown, I couldn't figure out when she was built because of that combination.

@ Denis, maybe she was worn out, but she has been laid up the last year down in Rostock so I think it has something to do with economics that her days are numbered (but that's just a guess) she had a fully functioning and well groomed engine compartment.

@ Jens, yes I can see that you last uploaded her in 2010 :-)

Thanks so much for the nice comments.

What a bummer!... but a fantastic final look around, Bendt.

At least this is one Sietas vessel I managed to take photos of some years ago...

Best regards,
Jens
