What a great picture and I think Gerolf is probably right, it does look like one of Brooklebank's freighters immediately astern of her. Beaver State was built in 1944, 7,600 gross tons, 455 ft long and powerd by a steam turbine giving a 16½ knot service speed. She was launched as South Africa Victory and re-named in 1949.
