Persic was fitted with foremast and mainmast. Runic and Suevic had foremast only.

When built she had accommodation for 75 crew.

In April 1958 she rescued the entire crew of 31 from the Panamanian freighter "Pan Ocean" (5,140 tons) after she was abandoned in a sinking condition in the Mediterranean between Cyprus and Crete.
