WELCOME TO SHIPSPOTTING.COM
Description:
Coming in to dock at the port of Quebec, Quebec, Canada.
The CTMA Vacancier makes weekly cruises between Montreal, Les Iles de la Madeleine and Quebec City on the return trip to Montreal. In my opinion, she is rather a passenger cruise ship than a ferry.

COMMENT THIS PHOTO(3)
I did a crossing on her back in 2000 when she was running as Ville de Sete on the Sete to Palma de Mallorca line. It lasted only half a season. I counted around 40 vehicle on the car deck in high season. The saloons where practically empty. Obviously not enough for a big ferry to run econmically sucsessful.
Any company who tried the Sete Palma run failed. Trasmed stopped there Sete - Palma - Ibiza - Valencia and back summer service/cruise many years ago. One of the ".... Abundo" ferries tried it for some months. Failed. People just prefer the Barcelona - Palma or Barcelona - Alcudia line even if its several hours more drive down to Barcelona on the motorway.
Thanks for posting anyway and that she might carry on for many years to come.
Reg Jürgen

Thanks for this great series of photos of her, Jacques!
Sietas type no. 78, the only vessel Sietas built of that type and upon completion
back in 1973 the biggest ship Sietas had built so far...
Cheers, Jens
