Maybe its just my sense of humour or the lack orf it but I find these incessant comparisons between cattle carriers and cruise liners are getting to be tiresome, boring and not original or funny anymore.

@ Maripaul: I was thinking the same, is this one a prototype of a cruiseship? ;-) ;-)

Major similarity to several of the new generation passenger ships.

@ Denis
they want to make container with no crews and other ships to since I sail never will happen for plenty of reasons
1) much more expensive then with crew
2) nobody to blame anymore when things go wrong with no crew
among them

More than 20,000 head of cattle? :O Yet I read they plan to make container ships unmanned... why?

The ship has 87 crew members, the vessel 17 and 70 for tending livestock. You can load more than 20,000 head of cattle. crew are mostly Pakistanis.

I wonder if there are life jackets included in every cage.

Just sitting here thinking...Beautiful photo...

And someone HAS to say this...if this ship decides to start sinking....I am sure the Captain and Crew would find the Lifeboats pretty handy...like get as as far from this pile of poo as possible....

Could any of you possibly imagine Thousands of cows trying to use lifeboats???

I don't want to go there.

tvtech

If a fully loaded livestock carrier sinks that means not only farmers can take a some time off from pasturing but a lot of people would have empty bowls for dinner... that is, unless they are vegetarians like I am. :D

When we consider the fate of the livestock upon dismembarkation. The conditions aboard Nada must not be so ideal for livestock comfort either.

Funny now that you mentioned it, Jadran - if the ship is sinking in deep waters with all the cattle on board - a total loss?
