Unfortunately these quickly-built wooden hulls don't last very long without extensive maintenance. Amazingly, I found last week that one of the few American equivalents, USS CAPE (MSI-2) manages to survive not far from me: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2067703
