Ten crew members have been found dead and 11 are still missing after a Spanish fishing trawler sank off Newfoundland in eastern Canada on Tuesday morning.
Three of the crew members of the Villa de Pitanxo trawler were rescued by another fishing vessel in the area, and Canada's Air Force and Coast Guard are searching for the missing.

There is bad weather in the exploration area, which is located about 450 kilometers off the coast of the island of Newfoundland.

- The fishing vessel has not been found. The search for the remaining members of the crew continues and we hope to find them," the Halifax rescue centre tweeted.

On Tuesday evening, the rescue centre announced that three more had been found dead.

The three survivors and at least four of the dead were found in one of the fishing vessel's four lifeboats, while two other lifeboats have been found empty. The fourth lifeboat has not been found.
