Niels, sometimes you should have taken a break from high calibre, semi-professionel in-depth maritime analysis and documentation while being onboard. You could have had fun and enjoyed the ship!:-D

When I wrote "sightseeing" I actually meant "Schiffsbesichtigung" which would be a bit more laborious for a landlubber like me than just sightseeing. But I couldn't think of an appropriate English expression.

Humorous regards
Jens :-)

Jens, - apparently you have the opinion that I am "sightseeing" when I am onboard ships like CSD and Rickmer Rickmers. Quite wrong, my friend. Actually it is high calibre, semi-professionel in-depth maritime analysis and documentation.

BR Niels
PS: - please keep uploading your excellent "sightseeing-photos"! ;-)

Thank you all for your kind comments. Well, I never would have thought that she's still getting so much attention (i. e. photo-wise, I think I've added shot no. 251 and 252 here on Shipspotting).

@Niels: It's such a typical thing, I live here at Hamburg, I see her frequently at Überseebrücke or on the Elbe, but I've only been aboard once - years ago. And the reason back then was not sightseeing, but a big party with lots of booze:-))

Thank you, Jens, for this nice shot of a wonderful ship, actually my favourite ship. Made a trip with her to Cuxhaven a couple of years ago. Really an "open ship" concept. The bridge was crowded with passengers, and the engine room was also "open" during the whole trip. A fantastic experience to be close to a working 10000 HP working MAN-DIESEL. Last week a visit on her with a grandson. He made the whole walk in the propeller shaft tunnel. Have you ever done that ? :-)
