@ Christian / @ Ted - Hyundai Mipo already built 16 roro vessels for the Grimaldi Group, so what is the big deal about HMD builing another seven units for Grimaldi? Korean yards are not necessarily cheap. If you want 'cheap' roros think China or Vietnam. HMD is at the upper end of the scale when it comes to quality. The ships are certainly on par with (more likely: better than) the Grimaldi vessels from Italy and Croatia.

As said,,after all it goes all by money,,,and most shipping company have in the mathematical equation a kind of wrong thinking,,,cheap = quality,,,unfortunately that,s not the case.

Mark, this is not the first one. "Grande Lagos" was built at Hyundai Mipo not long ago.

Yes Ted, unfortunately you're right. That decision was made a few years ago so i'm surprised to see first korean built Grimaldi ship, now? Any explanations?
