Point of interest to you guys, years ago when I was a mariner Mearsk boats were always well painted even the garbage barrels hung over the stern when alongside in port (ex/old 45gal. oil drums) were painted in the funnel colours

Emmanuel, that's great ! ... will you post any photo(s) of that Maersk container ship that you spotted during its exit from Palumbo drydock ................. :-)

To me,, all the MAERSK container ships look nice ... with their shipshape hull lines (especially the bow) and distinctive funnel,, should I maybe herewith mention also the *Maersk blue* hull COLOUR (to be understood, when freshly painted) !
Regards from Rijeka to Malta,
Jadran

Hi Jadran, I have just ben to my usual shipspotting place : Senglea and a Maersk container ship was being helped out of the drydock at Palumbo after refit, just a small 999ogrt, 134 metre vessel like the 81000 grt you captured here , but still a smart ship like all Maersk's.

Hi Jad,another pic from the Balcony over the Adriatic,Great my friend. Just pray that progress (sic) doesn't come your way and someone gets the big idea of constructing some high rise building on the waterfront obstructing your magnificent seaview, It happened over here my friend!Rgards dear friend.

:-) HAHA,, YES
But in any case,, that is a ship of maximum length that I can shoot from "my perch",,because the very next second the ship's bow "hits" the skyscraper that is in front of my building (what a great pity for me .......; and also the view of the ship's stern is limited with the harbour container crane that is to the right side of photo).
Well what can I do,, except,, send my best regards,
Jadran
