Steel twin screw passenger-cargo steamer built by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow for the Clarence & Richmond River S N Co.
Of 76 horsepower and 11 knots, she was the first ship fitted with electric light to operate between Sydney and the North coast of New South Wales, hence the name.
1891 of North Coast S N Co fleet.
Converted into a lighter 1920 and later sold to BHP Ltd., Australia for usage as a Tar storage unit.
As a hulk, broken up during the 1930's
