HMS Utö one of six Hanö class steel hulled miesweepers built for the swedish navy in the early fifties. By the mid sixties they were considered unsuited for minesweeping due to their magnetic hull and relegated to other roles.
Several of them where used as patrol (Vedett) ships with a V numbering scheeme but not HMS Utö. She was turned into a command ship for the 6th mineclearance squadron in 1967 with containers replacing the aft 40 mm gun, she is seen here in that configuration. She was decomissioned in 1979 and struck and sold in 1982. In the eighties she served as a civilian diving vessel named Hunter but it's unknown if she's still afloat. Her sister Ornö has been seen on shipspotting in derelict condition lately.

Info taken from the excellent book about swedish minesweepers "Minsvepare ISBN 81 970700 5X" by Hans Bergström & Paul Swahn
