Description:

The paddle steamer Waverley passing Llandudno Pier, North Wales. She was intended to berth at the pier, being the first vessel to do so since the pier re-opened to sea traffic after being out of use for approximately 8 years. Unfortunately she was unable to moor due to the weather, much to the disappointment of the crowds, local dignitaries and TV crews who had gathered for the event.

Thanks for your comments Trevor and Mr Dot. It was disappointing that she was unable to put in to Llandudno, but she made a fine sight sailing by.
