SS "Juno", 83 Gross Tons, built 1886 by Akers Mek. Verksted, Oslo, Norway for the route Holmestrand - Oslo, abt 4 - 5 hrs, carrying 150 passengers, cargo and mail. Later on the Drammen-route. 1939: Steam engine replaced by diesel engine. In use untill 1958. Laid up in 4 years. Then sank during icy winter. Raised in 2001, but in so bad condition that only the bow-section has been taken care of by enthusiasts in Holmestrand. From 2005 placed in the water-front (picture) on Hakan, on the water front of Holmestrand, as a memory of past shipping times in this city.
