Photographed in August 1961.
From my collection. Photo J.Henderson.

Launched under the name Sandgate Castle for the Royal Navy in 1943 at Middelborough, England. Before completion, transfered to the Canadian Navy and renamed St.Thomas. In 1946, converted into a coastal passenger ship and renamed Camosun. Renamed Chilcotin (II)in 1958 for a short time before getting the name Yukon Star the same year. In 1970, laid up at Vancouver. Sold to be broken up on July 15, 1974. Broken up at Tacoma, WA in 1975 by General Metals Yard.
