Description:

A busy scene from Busan North Port: "Kobee V" 7932903 is just getting foilborne, while passing by the bunker tanker "Samwon" (MMSI 440100940), and a couple of Triple E superstructures being constructed ashore. The finished one, belonging to "Margrethe Maersk", Triple E No. 16 is just being loaded on a barge "POS 25000"; to the left of the scene is the superstructure of Triple E No. 18, "Mette Maersk".

Thanks for comments, Rick and Denis.
I have seen superstructures for Triple Es assembled at two locations: Yeongdo in Busan (shown here) and Jinhae. Having in mind that plenty of hull blocks for the same vessels are produced in China, the "houses" are produced practically next door: Busan is about 50 km, and Jinhae about 30 km away from the building docks at DSME in Okpo.

So that is where they build the superstructures & etc.! I wondered how far from the building docks they were put together.
Another unusual image of significant historical interest - for the future!
Regards, Rick
