According to my information, maximum speed of TERA JET is 40 kn, and of HIGHSPEED 5 it´s around 42,5 kn.

Are we talking about maximum speed or cruising speed though?

I´m not sure if HELLENIC´s HIGHSPEED 5 might not even be faster. She is doing her regular crossings with more than 40 knots. Admittedly she is certainly much smaller than TERA JET.

True..one of the fastest-if not the fastest- ferries of Mediterranean!

That's a lot of machinery in her!

Indeed Denis, she has:

Twin GE Marine LM2500 turbo-electric gas turbines of 44,585bhp each
Four MTU 20V1163TB73 diesels of 9,111bhp each
Total 125,614bhp
geared to two shafts, driving four waterjets
40 knots

Excellent shot, Roy!
She probably has gas turbines, judging by those large exhaust pipes?
