A ship with an interesting but tragic history

using Google Translate from Italian, Asnyk's web link says:

August 17, 1941: During the journey from Benghazi to Italy with 2800 British prisoners, is torpedoed by the British submarine Turbulent. One of the torpedoes exploded in one of the holds of the prisoners, killing 200 men, while others die later. Of the 43-man crew, 17 are reported missing. The vessel was taken in tow by the destroyer Saetta and towed to Navarino, where it is repaired. June 10, 1944: is sunk in Venice during an air raid. After the War, in spite of the economic difficulties of the company, is repaired and resume service
