Brief history:
Built 1943 as DPC 43 by Consolidated Shipbuilding Corp, Morris Heights NY (Yd 3189) for Defense Plant Corporation [Subcontracted from Decatur Iron & Steel Inc, Decatur (Yd 43) ?]
1944 transferred to US Army Transportation Corps as ST 771 and worked on Normandy beaches
1948 renamed LUCIEN SAMURE (ST 771)
1951 Norddeutscher Lloyd, Bremen as STUR
1954 Foundered off Bremerhaven after collision with sunken U-boat, raised and repaired by Schiffbau Unterweser.
1968 Brodospas, Split as ALTAIR
1992 Poduzece 'Overland Trade', Hvar as fishing vessel PLANKTON
1999 Milivoj Blaslov, Boris Bakija & Rajko Gulan, Zadar
2005 Sun Adria d.o.o, Rijeka and reverted to tug
