Israel has the only Navy I know of that paints their submarines this color. This looks odd but it really works. I once encountered one of these submarines underway on the surface in the Med, and it was extremely difficult to spot visually, even though I had already picked up a target on the radar and was looking for it.

It ie a 1977 israeli Gal Class submarine .Either Tanin or Rahav
