Stolt-Nielsen used this typically-Norwegian livery, with the houseflag on the funnel, from the late 1940s until the early 1970s.

The funnel is interesting, I thought it had always been the stylised "S" we still see today, that funnel is different.

Thanls Rene,great quality shot as usual. Grosst Tonnage has the history slightly wrong, she was renamed Stolt Avenir in 1961,became Avenir in 1967, when she was sold to Italians. She then reverted to Stolt Avenir in the same year. This shot shows her during her second period.
