Description:

Under tow at Côte Ste. Catherine in the St.Lawrence Seaway and bound for a shipbreaking yard at Port Colborne. Initially, she was heading for Brownsville, TX from Toledo, OH where she was laid up since 2008 . However, plans were changed while en route. Therefore, she was towed back up the Seaway. This is very unusual.

She failed the inspection to be towed downriver from Montreal as she still had bunker fuel in her tanks. I guess Transport Canada didn't want another CANADIAN MINER type fiasco in their hands this late in the season when storms cause havoc along the Canadian eastern shores.
