Having lst my notes for the day I am fairly sure this is the frigate/escort destroyer DDH266 HMCS NIPIGON of the Royal Canadian Navy.She was a guest at the Battle of the Atlantic festival in 1993 at Birkenhead Dock's West Float.Launched in 1964 she grossed 2,400t,had a compliment of 246,a top speed of 28k and was the last steam powered frigate in the Canadian navy being powered by 2xBabcock & Wilcox steam turbines generating 30,000hp. She was paid off on July 2nd,1998 and in 2003 was sunk to form an artificial reef at Rimouski in Quebec.
