It's entirely possible, as the location corresponds to her fate of being lost on that waterway to shelling during the Iran-Iraq War.

Could the wreck lying on starboard side at Bassorah, on Google Earth in position 30°33'52"N and 047°47'14"E, be the GULF HERON ex CLAN MACINDOE ? She seems very similar.
(Scene dated 25/09/2010 and 26/02/2002).
