C3-S-A2 type, launched at San Francisco in 1942 for the U.S. navy as HAMLIN, delivered as H.M.S. STALKER. In 1947 became Nederland's RIOUW (seen at Avonmouth in early November 1964) then in 1967 Africa Lines Agency's LOBITO - BU Gandia 9.75

Too bad, I saw this cargo ship scrapped in the port of Gandía (Valencia-Spain), around the 1970s, with the name "LOBITO", in its last stage of useful life, I saw its propeller shaft cut, and as its entire structure fell apart within about 3 months ..

Yes, this really was the same ship:

Riouw represents an example of turning plowshares into swords, and then back again into plowshares. Riouw was a U.S.-built C3 cargo ship that was completed as an escort aircraft carrier during WW-II. After the war ended she was converted back into a cargo ship. See below (yes, this really is the same ship!):
