To the east of Afrikastraße there has been Indiahafen with Afrikakai and Australiakai. However in 1999 Indiahafen was filled up and Afrikakai disappeared. The remains of Australiakai became today's Australiastraße...

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, I think you're right, from the 24th until the 26th of December there's hardly any traffic and cargo operations. I think the same applies to January 1st.

@ jadran. Photo position is Afrikahöft on the southern side of the Norderelbe with shed 63 where "STELLAPRIMA" is moored. Exact position 53°32'02.6"N 9°59'24.5"E (53.534066, 9.990150). Today it is named "SUEDWEST-TERMINAL", operated by Messrs. C. Steinweg. Many changes happened in this area beginning 2000 (Kamerunkai, Windhukkai und Togokai and 60th sheds) and some harbour basins filled up. Hope this may assist.

Was possibly there on that location, in the 1960s, a part of the Hamburg port (or only a pier) named AFRICA-HAFEN ?
