"Russia" is its name.
At us it is frequent on a gangway number of the ship and its name is written.

ROSSIYA is not the name; "B/N 529" is the pendant number ("bortovoy nomer" in Russian). This is Kilo B-187; as opposed to many other Kilo-class submarines, this one has yet to be renamed.

Thank you for your comments. I understand that you are familiar with pendant numbers of Russian (Ukrainian) origin. I have a photograph of a ship durting demolition with pendant number 879. I think it is of the UGRA class. Photograph taken in Nykolaev March 20, 2004.
