Description:

P&O Ferries Ltd.s 1,344gt.1974 built ferry St.OLA,leaving Stromness on mainland Orkney with the midday sailing on July 18th,1987,across the Pentland Firth to Scrabster in Scotland. This crossing can be one of the roughest in the world as the Atlantic meets the North Sea and if both are in a bad mood it can be quite spectacular. The St.OLA and the St.Magnus, were excellent sailers and I have crossed in a force 8 and enjoyed every minute !

Nice Picture

Just a quick point about the info underneath, the St Ola & the St Magnus were not sister ships.
