Effectively ,the crosses in Seine are frequent sometimes even the night in the fog also but just at some spot only.
Many thanks at all for your nice comments.

Pascal, what a wonderful ship spotting site. We can hardly wait for photos with a bright sun collaborating.
Félicitations pour cette photo et bonne chance pour d'autres avec le soleil au rendez-vous.

Realistically, incidents are very few and far between. To quote a tragedy from 43 years ago does not illustrate how (non-) dangerous this kind of occurrence is today. The point is that there is far more chance of having a car accident on a narrow road than in this situation.

The other ship is the Sirius IMO 9541887, currently berthed on the Seine, just south of Rouen

An everyday occurrence in many different locations, but not without incident (as in the days of two way traffic on the Bosphorus) and occasionally tragic as in the case of the ROYSTON GRANGE and TIEN CHEE in 1972. Fine shot Pascal.

It's a cracking photo anyway.

I bet this situation happens all the time, 365 days a year, without incident. Would you be as worried if it was two cars passing on a narrow road?

Prey god there is no nautical mistake or faulty navigation here! mrdot.
