Former American SS Co laker AMERICAN FORTITUDE supposedly on her way to scrap to Brownsville TX. She docked at Côte Ste.Catherine about an hour after I took this image for the night but that's the farthest eastward she went. She was denied being towed down the St.Lawrence River on account that she still had bunker fuel in her tanks. A couple of weeks later, she was turned around by tugs and towed to Oswego NY for the winter. Next spring she'll go to Port Colborne to be recycled there.
