GUDVOR had been built by Swan, Hunter at Wallsend in 1954 as STAHOLM for A/S Hav & A/S Havtank of Oslo. After carrying the Herlofsen charter name BLACK SWAN between 1957 and 1960, she was purchased in 1962 by Hans Gjerpen, also of Oslo, to trade as GUDVOR until sold in 1972 to Guan Guan of Singapore. She was broken up at Hong Kong in 1978.

GUDVOR is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth, on 6th February 1965, it is thought on a voyage from East Africa.
