That was my first "impression", too, when I first heard about the name of the first ship, but I think that while 1, 2, 3 etc. implies just order numbers, "secunda" would suggest that she lost the "prima" spot to somebody else - not a good PR opportunity. ;)

Could be even the AIDAsecunda - project name of some staff members of AIDA. Like 'Mein Schiff 1'...2'...3'

I found the name on German Wikipedia site on "Hyperion" project - otherwise, I only knew her as "MHI 2301"...
But she was the purpose of my trip to Nagasaki. :)
